Baby it's Cold Outside

Well northern Colorado is known for having tons and tons of sunshine year round. Seems the sun has come out nice and bright this morning, though it hasn't done much to raise temperatures. Fortunately it appears the wind has died down for the time being... it's nice that the actual temperature is what it feels like (even though it't 10 below).

I am thinking this weather will be a great excuse to go enjoy a nice big extra hot latte =) (although that would mean I would have to venture outside...)

Deep Freeze

So winter has finally arrived here in Colorado. I have been joking for weeks now about how everyone keeps saying "stay warm" to me, but it IS warm here. Well not anymore (or at least not for this weekend). This morning when I woke up they said it was 2 degrees. Of course it was colder with the wind chill, but TWO degrees?!?!?! Apparently that was to be the tropical part of the day... by lunchtime it was zero and now after sunset we have dropped into negative numbers (and that is WITHOUT the wind chill). Just to emphasize the record cold numbers I have posted a snapshot of my weather bug. I hope everyone is warm and cozy tonight. I know as long as I don't lose power I'll be just fine.

Nope not Christmas, not New Year's.... Happy Valentine's Day!

I thought my Valentine's Day was pretty much going to be uneventful this year... but there was a surprise or two which made it better than expected.

I am having fun watching the Olympics on TV, I wish we could watch this stuff every year.
