Rocking and Rolling...
Well it has been quite a while since my last post. In July Cullen had nose surgery which was quite successful, though gave us a bit of a scare when he had some unexpected bleeding a week later. It was worth it though, he can now breath much better than before. Only side effect is that he is now (as I like to say) 'addicted' to nasal rinsing.
We took a trip to NY to visit with my family and take care of a few wedding arrangements. I am excited to report I FOUND my wedding dress, but I won't order it until later this year.
Then we boarded the Norwegian Crown for a 7 day cruise to Bermuda. That dream vacation ended up turning into a personal nightmare... While we were in Bermuda I didn't feel quite right - light headed, faint, almost hung over. I chalked it up to extended sea sickness from our first night at sea. On our way back I was totally fine, no sea sickness at all, I was beginning to feel better about the whole cruising experience. Then I got off the boat... well I was physically off the boat but my body still felt like it was on the boat. Apparently it is not that uncommon to feel that way, people often refer to it as "land sickness". Only problem is mine didn't go away. It was so bad I had to miss Sam and Rebecca's wedding 2 weeks later. Now 7 weeks following that disembarkment I am still not feeling quite right. However I am happy to report that as of this weekend I feel much improved and am hopeful that the "rocking and rolling" symptoms will completely resolve in the next couple of days/weeks. In the meantime I also managed to hurt my foot (possibly a stress fracture) so now I have to work on getting that to heal.
Bermuda was great though! Below are a few pictures...
The first photo is the view we had going down to Elbow Beach. The second photo is Elbow Beach, the water was crystal clear, just beautiful! The final photo is a view of Front Street in Hamilton taken from our ship as we departed.
